June 11th Meeting

The June 11th meeting is coming up this Thursday. Meeting location will be at the usual place starting at 7:30. Arrive earlier for food.

  Destination: Possum Kingdom Marina

• Start Location: the McDonalds at I-20 and 377
• Arrive at 9:45 am, cruise departs at 10 am
• Bring: Car, Gas, and anything you might need at a pool party

About the cruise:

. We will proceed through Cresson and turn North at Granbury. FM 4 runs north from Granbury and there are intermittant sections of “twisties”. Take advantage of the Straight-aways to “catch your breath” and let your brakes and engine cool down. The twisties get better as we get further North.

We will stop for lunch at “The Grille” http://harborliving.com/wp/amenities/the-grille/ which is located in the Possum Kingdom Marina, reservations pending. The patio overlooking the harbor looks like a really great place to have lunch!

The cruise out to Possum Kingdom Marina takes about 2 hours and the return trip will be 2 hours as well. We will meet at the McDonalds at I-20 and 377 by 9:45 am and we will depart at 10:00 am sharp. We will finish at Tim Schorn’s place 3:00 ETA for a pool party.

May 14th Meeting Location Change

Please notice that due to circumstances out of my control, we’re going to have to meet at an alternate location this month. Instead of meeting at our usual spot, we’ll be having the meeting at the No Frill’s Grill in Mansfeild. Here’s the address:

Pool Party

Tim Schorn is hosting a Pool-warming party at his house, the final destination of the May cruise event. Bring your swimsuit and cooler. It will be a great way to relax and cool off after a spirited drive in the outback. Even if you do not participate in the cruise, separate directions will be provided for driving directly to the pool party. More details will be provided online and at the May meeting.
